ANNUAL TOY RUN TO VIRTUA, BIGGER THAN EVER

ANNUAL TOY RUN TO VIRTUA, BIGGER THAN EVER

It began at 9 a.m. on December 13th at Café Aldo Lamberti’s in Cherry Hill. Car enthusiasts from all around the Delaware Valley gathered for the 4th annual Carz N’ Toyz Toy Run. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Porsches and classic and exotic cars from all parts of the world filled the parking lot. Close to 100 cars in all assembled for the police led caravan to Virtua.

Upon arrival at Virtua, more than 1,000 toys were delivered by a human chain of volunteers and Carz N’ Toyz supporters. The chain stretched some 50 yards from the truck to the reception room inside Virtua.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., The Carz N’ Toyz board presented a check for $35,000 to Virtua CEO, Richard Miller. The money will be used to construct a pediatric play zone for kids recovering at Virtua. Miller thanked the board for their tireless efforts. He stressed the importance of helping less fortunate children throughout the Virtua network.

Carz N Toyz President Saverio Lacroce commented, “The Toy Run gets bigger every year thanks to our supporters.” He added, “We are told by the Virtua staff that the toys and games do a lot to help make the hospital experience less stressful for the kids. The play zone will take it to another level. We thank everyone for their generosity.”

“Our supporters tell me they love the Toy Run because it recalls the true spirit of the season and just being there is gratifying,” said Carz N’ Toyz President Saverio “Sam” Lacroce “The toys and games do a lot to help make the hospital experience less stressful for the kids. We thank everyone for their generosity.”
